Promotion of Reading seminar took place in Lviv

On May 17-18, 2013, during the Lviv International Children's Festival the international training seminar for participants from Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia was held. The seminar entitled "Reading promotion for children and youth" was implemented within the Book Platform project (with the support of Eastern Partnership Culture Programme) by Next Page Foundation (Bulgaria) and NGO Publishers' Forum (Ukraine). Specialists in promotion of reading, educators, researchers, librarians (among them the most successful organizers of the Ukraine's Best Reader contest) from Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia had gathered for a two-day seminar in Lviv to share various techniques of promoting reading among children and young adults. Book Platform at Europe Day Info Fair in Yerevan

From the booth entitled "Culture" the National Publishers Association of Armenia presented the Book Platform project at the Europe Day in Armenia Info Fair, organized by the European Union Delegation to Armenia. Visitors to the booth were welcomed with informational materials, the study of translation flows from Armenian into 11 other languages, guidelines and brochures on Copyright law carried out in the framework of the project, and other project-related materials. Forthcoming: Public Debate on Readership Study in Armenia

A public debate on ''Reading habits in Armenia" will take place on 19th June 2013 in Yerevan. The event will feature presentation of the results of the survey carried out in December 2012, comments by invited speakers (see below), and a moderated discussion with the audience. Forthcoming: Second Partners Meeting in Tbilisi

After the success of the First Partners Meeting in Sofia in December 2012, there will be a second meeting, this time in Tbilisi from 6 to 9 June. The Project Meeting in Tbilisi is organized by Next Page in order to answer to the need for reaching an agreement between project partners on key aspects of project implementation in Year 2 of the project, including planning, budgeting, communication (internal and external), reporting, working with documents, etc. In addition, the meeting will seek to reach an agreement on lessons learned from previous implementing period and to implement them into the future work.


Visiting news from the region: Launch of the EU Neighbourhood Post

The EU Neighbourhood Info Centre launched an online platform for news suggested by bloggers! The platform, entitle N-Post, aggregates the best from bloggers and researchers writing about the EU Neighbourhood. Bloggers are invited to send their posts at info@enpi-info.eu.
