Forthcoming in Lviv: 20th Publishers Forum, International Book Fair and Literary Festival

The 20th Publishers Forum celebrates a landmark anniversary with an impressive program of events from 10-15 September 2013 in the beautiful western Ukrainian city of Lviv, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site for its outstanding architecture. Over the last two decades the Forum has established Lviv as the epicenter of Ukraine's book trade and literary life and has become an important cultural event for the publishing worlds of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Forum of Publishers in Lviv is the largest Ukrainian book fair in the world and will take place at the Palace of Arts on 17 Copernicus Street and along Prospekt Svobody in the city centre of Lviv.

Special highlight in the program is the Translit Festival - the largest event in Ukraine promoting the art of translation. A public discussion entitled "The Two Way Street" will review research into translation both from and into Ukrainian and major European languages over the last twenty years undertaken by the Book Platform project. The public discussion will take place on September 13, at 15:00. Venue: Center for the Urban History of East-Central Europe, 6 Bohomoltsia Street.
