Trainings
A strong focus of the Book Platform capacity-building activities is placed on training events. The project foresees a total of nine trainings, of 2 to 3 days each
involving both international and local trainers and co-trainers. The events aim mainly at increasing the practical skills of the participants and also at providing an increased understanding of
European and regional practices in the subject areas. Some seminars are regional, some are national, one of the trainings is to be remotely held. Participation of representatives of different
subsectors/countries in the same activities will create conditions for inter-sectoral and regional cooperation. Subject areas to be covered include: strategic planning, management and fundraising
for professional associations and NGOs in the book sector, communication and advocacy techniques, copyright issues, audiences outreach and e-publishing, contemporary methods for reading promotion
and literature in translation promotion.
