Book Platform project and NGO Publishers' Forum in cooperation with Goethe Institute/Schriftzüge, Union of translators and writers, Open Ukraine Foundation and Calvaria Publishing House Foundation kindly invite you to participate in policy debates on outcomes of studies on translations from and into Ukrainian language that were undertaken after 1991. Discussion will be held during 20. Lviv International Book Fair and Literature Festival

Translators, publishers, authors, researchers, representatives of cultural and non-governmental organizations, journalists, decision-makers will gather together to analyze the outcomes of the researches and to discuss the ways of promotion of translated literature in Ukraine and abroad. Translation will be examined as system activity which proceeds on the crossway of literature processes of different countries and grace to the partnership of stakeholders on different governmental levels.

15:00-16:30 Part 1: Translations of literature from foreign languages into Ukrainian. Speakers: Kostiantyn Rodyk, Nelia Vakhovska, Dmytro Drozdovskyi, Yaroslav Godun (Poland), Yana Genova (Bulgaria). Moderator – Volodymyr Yermolenko.

17:00-18:30 Part 2: Foreign translations of Ukrainian literature and humanities studies. Speakers: Iryna Dmytryshyn, Alla Tatarenko, Oleksiy Kononenko, Olaf Kühl (Germany), Yana Genova (Bulgaria). Moderator – Nelia Vakhovska.
